FREUND AND JOHNSON OBTAIN ENTIRE CASE DISMISSAL ON SUMMARY JUDGMENT

Freund, Freeze & Arnold attorneys Neil F. Freund and Lindsay M. Johnson won a motion for summary judgment in favor of their client, an attorney accused of multiple claims of legal malpractice related to an underlying, and highly contentious, divorce case. The plaintiff argued he did not knowingly agree to settlement of the case and suffered damages including damage to his business and lost income. In the motion for summary judgment drafted by Johnson, she argued that the plaintiff could not demonstrate he would have obtained a better outcome had the divorce case been tried to a jury and that plaintiff was provided multiple opportunities to object to the terms of the settlement but did not. The judge agreed and dismissed the case.
