Biography
Latifat enjoys the variety and depth that comes with civil litigation. She believes in developing strong attorney-client relationships and getting clients the best outcome possible.
Prior to joining Freund Freeze and Arnold, Latifat worked at the Columbus City Prosecutor’s Office as an Assistant City Prosecutor. During her tenure with the City, she prosecuted criminal misdemeanor cases ranging from minor traffic and driving incidents to more serious DUI, assault and child endangering cases. Latifat has experience as first and second chair on several criminal jury and bench trials.
Latifat also spent several years working for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services as a Mediator, Hearing Officer and Policy Developer. Additionally, she worked with a small law firm that performed collections work on behalf of the Ohio Department of Taxation and Bureau of Worker’s Compensation.
Latifat is originally from Nigeria, but now calls Columbus her home. She enjoys travelling, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with her family.
