The transportation lawyers at Freund, Freeze & Arnold have extensive experience defending trucking companies, self-insured transportation firms, transportation insurers and their insureds in every conceivable type of litigation. Our firm handles all aspects of transportation law, including accident investigation, administrative hearings, tort defense, intentional tort claim defense, freight claims, and the defense of criminal and traffic matters.

The attorneys in the Transportation Practice Group have tried cases in all levels of state and federal courts in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Freund, Freeze & Arnold lawyers have represented motor carriers and shippers in cargo claims and Carmack Amendment suits. Our lawyers have also represented trucking companies in regulatory matters such as challenging reporting requirements for the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Additionally, our attorneys routinely assist truck drivers in the defense of traffic citations.

Our lawyers have enjoyed great success in the defense of their motor carrier clients. One of the most significant Ohio cases involving statutory employment as announced in Wyckoff v. Marsh Bros. Trucking Service, Inc., (1991), 58 Ohio St.3d 261; 561 N.E.2d 1049, was successfully argued by Gordon Arnold. Following Wyckoff, our lawyers have handled numerous cases in which the validity of a lease agreement was at issue.

Freund, Freeze & Arnold is committed to defending its transportation industry clients by active involvement in industry organizations. FF&A is an affiliate member of the Ohio Trucking Association, as well as the Ohio Trucking Safety Council Our lawyers are involved in the Defense Research Institute?s Trucking Law Committee, the Transportation Lawyers Association and other organizations supporting the trucking industry.

Importantly, the Emergency Response Investigation Team of our transportation law practice group is available to assist its transportation clients 24 hours a day, 7 days per week if necessary. Prompt, thorough, professional investigations are a necessary tool to adequately defend catastrophic accident claims. Our Emergency Response team can have a lawyer and all appropriate experts on the scene of an accident within a matter of hours.
