John J. Garvey, III elected to serve as President-Elect of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association

Freund, Freeze & Arnold, A Legal Professional Association, a Dayton, Ohio-based law firm, is pleased to announce that one of its attorneys has been elected to serve as president-elect of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association (NKBA).  John J. Garvey III, a shareholder in the firm’s Cincinnati and Covington offices, began serving his term on January 1, 2008.  In 2009, he will serve as president of the NKBA.

John Garvey – John was named as one of the “Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Stars for 2006" by 2006's Ohio Super Lawyers. John also was named as one of 2005's Rising Stars. He was selected for 2006 Class X, Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers (CALL), sponsored by the Cincinnati Bar Association.

Mr. Garvey also serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys, is a Master of the Salmon P. Chase American Inns of Court, and a member of the Ohio State, Kentucky, Indiana, and Cincinnati Bar Associations as well as the Defense Research Institute. 

John previously served as the Kenton County (KY) Law Library Trustee, Secretary and Treasurer of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association.  He is a graduate of Xavier University and the Salmon P. Chase College of Law.

John recently completed his sixth year as Member of the Board of Trustees and third year as the Secretary for the Pregnancy Center East, Inc. He has served as a Counselor with the American Legion Buckeye Boys State program since 1985.
