Culture Works, an entity which provides funding support to many Central and West-Central Ohio-based arts organizations, hosted an event at the historic Old Courthouse in downtown Dayton on January 29, 2007. Denise Rehg, the CEO of Culture Works, presided over a cocktail reception, bringing together the Dayton legal community to extol the benefits of financial contribution. David Greer of Bieser, Greer & Landis law firm spoke briefly about how fortunate we are to have vibrant arts organizations in a city of the size of Dayton.
Ms. Rehg then acknowledged the vision and philanthropic support of Freund, Freeze & Arnold for the new Arts Card. Over $10,000 worth of cards have been sold since the project launch in December, making it a well received and visible program nationwide. Neil Freund was presented with a framed Arts Card, emblazoned with the firm's name and new logo and hearty appreciation from Ms. Rehg.
After the formal presentations, Cathy Price of the Victoria Theatre Association, and her daughter, entertained the crowd of more than 100 attendees.
