Judge Jeffrey Welbaum of Miami County (Ohio) Common Pleas Court confirmed an agreement to settle a dispute between a Troy developer, Troy Land Development, and eight area residents, ending months of court filings. Wayne Waite, of Freund, Freeze & Arnold, and other attorneys, representing the developer, had prepared to go to trial but, as part of the settlement agreement, all of the Defendants have agreed that they no longer oppose the Summerfield plan to be submitted to the City of Troy Planning Commission. All parties agreed that settlement of the case was in the best interest of all of the parties and of healing the community.
