Shannon’s practice focuses on civil litigation with a concentration in commercial and business litigation, medical malpractice, nursing home, and professional liability defense. Her representative cases include general employment matters, close corporations, shareholder disputes, business contracts, collections, wrongful termination, civil rights claims, legal malpractice defense, emergency care, misdiagnosis, wrongful death, and traumatic birth injury. Shannon has successfully represented clients in pre-lawsuit matters and also in trial. She counsels clients on solving problems before they happen and achieving resolutions without litigation.

Shannon is always an advocate for her client. A former NCAA Division 1 college athlete, she is competitive and results-driven. She is responsive to her client’s needs and enjoys the often on-going relationships with them.

In addition to her work at Freund, Freeze & Arnold, Shannon devotes her time to the Greater Dayton Volunteer Lawyer’s Project, working with the START program counseling female inmates at the Montgomery County Jail. She is also a member of the Ohio and Dayton Bar Associations and is a mentor to the younger members of the firm.

Since 2010, Shannon has been a member of the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery Associate Board, a group dedicated to planning events and fundraising for the museum. She is also a member of the Young Leaders Council of Goodwill Easter Seals of Miami Valley and enjoys spending time with her “little sister” of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program.

Shannon and her husband moved to Ohio in 2007, and in 2012, they welcomed their first son.
